You might be wondering about my site where it says I’m “tackling my dreams and making them a reality.” You might think that all my dreams deal with running since that seems to be all I have on my blog, but you would be wrong. I also mention my kids a lot. I mentioned them more in the beginning. I’ll admit the blog has turned down the running report road a bit. Having kids, completing a marathon, and doing the Goofy Challenge with the kids there to enjoy Disney are just a few of my dreams. I want to go to Italy, Australia and New Zealand some day. I also want to take the kids to cool family landmarks and vacation spots like Mount Rushmore, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, etc. Of course the runner in me wants to make it a running vacation too. Sometimes running a race in places like that you get to see stuff you wouldn’t normally see.
We don’t have any solid plans for any of this yet, but I’m always looking for the next big goal to work toward. Right now we still have to get to California and do the Infinity Gauntlet Challenge. So I don’t want to get too ahead of myself. I’m a big multitasker which I thought was good, but I’ve learned different. I mean you can do several things at once, but it is always nice to focus at least on one thing for a bit to make sure it gets done and not half assed done. So yeah, one thing at a time.
Oh and you may wonder why I don’t have the usual big items like sky diving, bungee jumping, etc. Well I haven’t ever really been into those. It’s not that I’m afraid of heights, I just don’t like falling. My husband likes those free fall amusement park rides, but I’m not the biggest fan. I ride them with him and they are a thrill, but they are not my favorite. Plus I like rock climbing and in rock climbing the goal is NOT to fall. Scuba diving was on my list. I’ve been and Hubby and I used to do one big trip a year. We might get back into that soon. I’d love to afford a family trip some day when the kids are old enough to come with us. One of the trips we did as a couple had a family on the boat. There were the parents and two teenage girls in this family. The older girl had the best buoyancy I’ve ever seen. It would be nice to do that some day with out family, but I imagine it is expensive. We will see.
I did something called the Mom Conference recently and this lady, Kelly Jensen, was interviewed. I kind of feel like this is what we do but without the physical list. I like the idea of a list though. We might have to start that. https://www.instagram.com/kellyejensen/
